Pradnya Desh is an attorney, tech startup CEO, and public servant who brings both a global perspective and deep local roots to everything she does.
Earlier in her career, Pradnya served as a U.S. diplomat and trade negotiator. She fought for American democratic values, and championed the benefits of globalization—not only to open markets and grow the economy, but also to keep goods affordable and expand access to housing. Throughout her service, she worked to protect the environment, support U.S. companies, and ensure that workers were never left behind.
Today, Pradnya serves as a Governor-appointed Trustee of Bellevue College, where she works to expand access to higher education and prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow.
She is also the CEO of an AI company. As a startup founder, she specializes in finding practical, effective solutions to complex challenges—skills she brings to every endeavor. In recognition of her leadership and values, she has been endorsed by the King County Democrats and many others.
Pradnya is deeply involved in our community. She volunteers as a tutor for kids, serves on the Board of Music Works Northwest and helps lead kids worship at BelPres. She frequently speaks at events to help startups build great companies, and to help people learn how to use AI, driven by her belief that entrepreneurship and AI literacy can drive growth, equity and opportunity. She also mentors young women in entrepreneurship, helping future leaders navigate their own paths.
She has supported progress toward a more connected and inclusive city. Now, she plans to fight to turn good ideas into real progress by focusing on policy effectiveness, accountability, and measurable results.
For the past 17 years, Pradnya and her husband have raised their three children in Bellevue. She is dedicated to keeping it a place where families thrive, opportunity is real, and the spirit of innovation that makes Bellevue extraordinary continues to grow and inspire.
